Storage for Students
Anyone at uni will testify just how annoying it is to lug your belongings half way across the country every time you go back home at the end of the year or when you’re moving between one of many student accommodations.
One great way to save yourself a lot of hassle is to place your belongings in student storage, where they’ll remain safe and sound until you need to pick them up again.
Whether you need to store your things for just a few days or even for a whole semester while on a year abroad, there are many reasonably priced options available to students.
Do I need storage?
The ease of using storage for a few months while you’re back home for the summer holidays is undeniable – there’s nothing more stressful than carting all your stuff between home and uni, particularly if you’ve been rinsing your student loan and have accumulated more than you’d like to admit to your parents!
You may also want to consider storing your things if you have several items of value that you think would be safer locked away in a professional storage unit, rather than in your uni accommodation while you’re away.
Moreover, several landlords have rules in place to protect themselves, which may mean they do not allow students to leave expensive items in their property over summer. You should check with them and make sure you have a back-up plan in place if this applies to you.
