EUROPEAN SHARED LOAD
A part/shared load service is a cost effective way to move your goods to and from your destination. The reason this service is so cost effective is that you share the vehicle with other consignments and therefore the vehicle costs are also shared. All consignments are individually prepared, numbered, labelled and inventoried to ensure all items are correctly delivered to you. The main advantage of a part load service is that you will receive the Matthew James service of excellence at the most cost effective price.

Consistently ranking as one of the best places in the world to live, Zurich is an excellent choice when planning to move abroad. No wonder it is the largest and most densely populated city in Switzerland. As a nation with four different national languages (German, French, Romanish, and Italian) there are actually six different recognised spellings of the city! If you are planning to make the move to Zurich, start getting excited.
First to the job market. Zurich is an international banking capital and a major European commercial centre, so many jobs are on offer in the financial sector, banking and wealth management. Known for its long-term career opportunities and professional standards, the city offers a variety of options when looking for work. It is possible to get a job as an English speaker without knowledge of French or German, but this will require a concerned effort and determination. I.T., computing and engineering are also big employers in Zurich, and Google also has a very large office in the city. Because of the high cost of living and the difficulty you will have when signing rental properties, it is advised that you secure employment before moving.

Buying a car should be a priority when thinking about getting around the city. Zurich is a very compact place, and the transport system is efficient enough. A combination of boats, trams, and buses make up Zurich’s transport system and run on an average every 5 – 25 minutes. If cycling is your thing (and considering a 24 hour travel card will cost you around £17.50, it might just become your thing), Zurich has many bike friendly lanes, and operates a bicycle-sharing scheme all year round from 08:00 – 21:30.
First thing to note about Zurich is that there is a high cost of living, and the restricted number of spaces to buy/rent reflect this high cost in its property prices. People moving without families tend to find the city centre an attractive option, and Oerlikon and Affoltern are popular areas. The right and left side of Lake Zurich are called the gold and silver coast (respectively) because of the direction that sun shines. Many expats choose these areas because not only are the picturesque, but many international schools inhabit these areas. Popular settling areas of the Golden Coast are the Pfannenstiel region and Albiskette for the Silver Coast.
It will come as no surprise that there is a wealth of things to do in the city. A few highlights include taking a stroll down the Niederdorf, where Zurich’s old town comes to life. Or go for a swim in on elf the many designated parts of Lake Zurich. The Lindt chocolate factory finds its home just outside of the city, so a trip for all those chocolate lovers is definitely advised. For those with kids, Zurich Zoo is a must see, and a picnic and summer stroll through the botanical garden is stunning. Art lovers will want to visit the Kunsthaus, which houses many famous paintings by Picasso, Monet, and Rothko to name a few.
