Matthew James provide a superior removal service to or from the Balearic Islands, including Ibiza, Menorca and Majorca!
Matthew James services to Ibiza range from dedicated removals to shared-loads or even single items.
A part/shared load service is a cost effective way to move your goods to and from your destination. The reason this service is so cost effective is that you share the vehicle with other consignments and therefore the vehicle costs are also shared. All consignments are individually prepared, numbered, labelled and inventoried to ensure all items are correctly delivered to you. The main advantage of a part load service is that you will receive the Matthew James service of excellence at the most cost effective price.
A direct service combines Matthew James’ service of excellence with the added advantage of a dedicated collection date and express delivery timescale. Handling of your effects is minimised as they remain on the same vehicle throughout. Although your delivery will be carried out in conjunction with other clients’ consignments, this means you will share the cost of the vehicle and your consignment will be prioritised for onward delivery typically within 7-10 days of collection.
A dedicated service gives you the flexibility to choose your collection and delivery dates. This service means you will have exclusive use of one of our bespoke removal vehicles. This service guarantees the Matthew James service of excellence and peace of mind that your moving dates can be fixed, allowing you the convenience to make travel arrangements and plan your arrival. All delivery dates are subject to EU laws on driving time. We can confirm the timing prior to any booking.

The excellent weather allows expats living in Ibiza to take full advantage of its numerous beautiful beaches. Even during the peak of summer, when the main beaches are teeming with tourists, there are still many quieter spots where locals and clued-up expats can find some sanctuary. Better still, residents can have free reign of all beaches in the off-season when even the most popular beaches are deserted.
Ibiza’s blissful climate and beautiful terrain make it a perfect place to make the most of the great outdoors. From golfing to hiking, surfing to biking, living in Ibiza enables expatriates to enjoy their favourite outdoor pursuits surrounded by some of the most stunning views that the Mediterranean has to offer.
People relocating to Ibiza can also expect to be spoiled by its welcoming and cosmopolitan community. The year round inhabitants of this picturesque island are a close-knit and supportive people. Ibiza is so small that bumping into familiar faces is a daily occurrence. As well as the Spanish natives, Ibiza has a strong expat community – predominantly English-speaking – who are always looking to make new friends and support new inhabitants. Crime rates on the island are also very low, especially for an island that welcomes so many tourists in the summer. All of these factors add up to create a superb quality of life for anyone moving to Ibiza.
EU and EEA citizens are able to live and work in Ibiza visa-free. If you intend to stay in Ibiza for more than three months you will need to apply for a resident certificate. Likewise, upon moving to Ibiza, it is very important that you acquire your tax identification number or NIE (Numero de Identificacion Extranjero). You will need this number to do all of the administrative necessities for starting life in a new country, such as opening a bank account, paying taxes and applying for a driver’s licence.
